Summer break might mean vacations for some—but for savvy students, it’s scholarship season. Whether you're about to enter high school, preparing for grad school, or somewhere in between, there are tons of scholarships with July deadlines that you can still apply for.

Scholarships for High School Students

• OptimizeMyFirm Legal Marketing Scholarship. Open to high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA who are planning to attend an accredited US institution in the fall. Applicants must create a YouTube video pretending to be a personal injury lawyer. Winners are chosen based on votes. Award: $500; Deadline: July 1
• Summer Saver Scholarship. This scholarship is an essay-based award for high school sophomores, juniors, or seniors who are U.S. citizens. Applicants must submit an essay of 500 words or less explaining their summer plans, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, and provide transcripts plus a letter of recommendation. Award: $500; Deadline: July 1
• ProCare Health Heroes Scholarship. This scholarship supports graduating Texas high school seniors pursuing a career in a health-related field. Applicants must plan to attend a Texas-based university and maintain a minimum 3.5 high school GPA. Eligible majors include nursing, pre-medicine, physical therapy, and other medical or clinical healthcare disciplines. Award: $1,000; Deadline: July 1
• The Fountainhead Essay Contest. Inspired by Ayn Rand’s novel The Fountainhead, this contest is open to all students in 8^th through 12^th grade. It requires reading the novel and writing an essay about it. Awards: Up to $25,000; Deadline: July 31

Scholarships for High School and Undergrad Students

• Bachus & Schanker, LLC Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors and full-time college students attending a 4-year college or university in the United States. Must have a 3.0 GPA. Write an essay about the 7^th Amendment. Award: $4,000; Deadlines: July 1
• Innovation in Education Scholarship. Sponsored by LA Tutors, this monthly scholarship is open to high school, college, and graduate students who write an essay on an innovative project they’ve designed that makes a difference in the lives of others. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a US or Canadian citizen. Award: $500; Deadline: July 20 (repeats monthly)
• NTX Powersports Scholarship. This scholarship supports high school seniors and undergraduate students who demonstrate determination, curiosity, and purpose. Applicants must be full-time students at an accredited U.S. institution, at least 18 years old, and a U.S. citizen, resident, or visa holder. To apply, students must submit a 300-word essay reflecting on a hands-on experience or personal challenge. Award: $250; Deadline: July 31
• Secular Student Alliance (SSA) Student Activist Scholarship. This scholarship supports full-time students enrolled in high school, trade school, college, or university in the United States. Applicants must be actively engaged in promoting secular values on their campus or within their local community while demonstrating academic excellence. Multiple awards are given annually through various national and state-specific sponsoring organizations. Award: Varies; Deadline: July 31
• Spirit of Giving Scholarship. This scholarship supports high school seniors and current college students who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service and acts of kindness. Applicants must plan to attend an accredited post-secondary institution within the United States. Submission requires proof of enrollment and an original essay of 500 to 750 words. Multiple awards are given. Award: $1,000; Deadline: July 31
• Leaders Save Lives Scholarship. This scholarship from the American Red Cross is more of a challenge and is open to high school and college students, including those enrolled at trade schools or community colleges. Applicants must organize a blood drive during designated time frames, and depending on how many pints you collect, you’ll earn varying gift card awards and entries into scholarship drawings. Awards: Up to $200 in gift card awards and up to $2,500 in scholarship drawings; Time frames: June 1–August 31 (and December 15–January 15)

Scholarships for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

• The Signage Success Scholarship. This scholarship supports undergraduate students and high school seniors passionate about visual marketing and communication. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, a legal U.S. resident or visa holder, and enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university. A 300-word essay concerning the local or future business impacts of visual branding is required. Award: $500; Deadline: July 1
• White Glove Moving & Storage 2026 Scholarship. This is an essay-based program that supports students navigating transitional moments in their education. Applicants must be high school seniors, undergraduate university students, or college students currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. institution. Submission requires an original essay of 500 to 750 words reflecting on a personal, challenging moving experience. Award: $1,000; Deadline: July 1
• GeneTex Scholarship Program. This scholarship is a merit-based award designed to support young scientists pursuing a higher education. Applicants must be students in good standing enrolled at an accredited college or university with a declared STEM undergraduate or graduate major. The program is open to international students. Awards: Up to $2,000; Deadlines: July 13 (and December 1)
• CaseGen.ai 2026 Scholarship. This program supports undergraduate or graduate students accepted into an accredited U.S. university. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents planning Fall 2026 enrollment with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Requirements include a resume, a one-to-three-page essay regarding their intended field, transcripts, and proof of acceptance. Awards: $1,000; Deadline: July 31
• 1^st Financial Bank Financial Goals Scholarship. This monthly scholarship is open to US residents who are 18 or older and currently enrolled in a college degree program (or planning to enroll). Though it’s a random drawing, it does require applicants to submit a short essay of 500 words or fewer. Award: $2,000; Deadline: July 31
• Micklin Law Group Custody Scholarship. The Honorable Eugene H. Austin, J.S.C. Scholarship is a needs-based annual program supporting single fathers who have full custody of their children. Applicants must require financial assistance to help put their child through college. Eligible fathers must complete an online application detailing how this educational assistance will significantly impact their family's needs. Award: $1,000; Deadline: July 31

Scholarships For (Basically) Everyone

• Dashanna K. McNeil Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school, associate, bachelor, and graduate students pursuing nursing related fields. Award: $655; Deadline: July 31
• The Constitution Scholarship. This educational initiative encourages students to study the United States' founding documents and principles through a free online study program. Applicants must be U.S. citizens aged 16 or older currently enrolled in high school, college, or trade school. To qualify, students must complete specific online courses and provide certification. Multiple awards are given to successful participants. Awards: up to $10,000; Deadline: July 31
