High schools have so many clubs and organizations these days. See which ones student vlogger Isabella has joined to get ideas for your interests!

Your high school likely offers more clubs and organizations to join than you might think. You’d be surprised by the range of clubs for students—there’s something for practically every hobby! Join student vlogger Isabella as she shares the clubs she joined at school and explore your interests with her. You might get an idea for a new club you want to join from this video. You may even get some inspiration for clubs to join when you’re off to college.

Setting club priorities

When you’re thinking about what you want to participate in for activities, it’s smart to set some priorities for yourself to meet certain goals. Isabella’s priorities when choosing how to spend her time and which activities to join include:

  • Having enough activities to keep her consistently busy,
  • Participating in activities that truly interest her,
  • And taking on clubs that boost her college résumé.

These are all good considerations for your own priorities as well but don't worry if your focus and goals lie elsewhere. And if you're pursuing college activities, they'll still look good on a job application one day.

The college lists on CollegeXpress are indispensable for sussing out creative additions to a student’s list, and the college-specific pages provide terrific commentary and suggestions for related schools. CollegeXpress is among the most trusted sources I use for information for my students.

I discovered CollegeXpress while embarking on my college search journey as an excited—but scared and way confused—high schooler without a counselor or college-bound sibling to give me advice. Let me tell you, I’m so glad that I stumbled on this community! CollegeXpress helped me find potential colleges and keep application deadlines straight. It gave me a great list of scholarships, and the blogs and emails made me feel like I wasn’t going it alone. Almost three years later and with freshman year of college down, I still love the CollegeXpress vibe so much that I’m writing for them. I’d recommend this site to anyone!

CollegeXpress has seriously helped me out a lot, especially when it comes to scholarships and studying for tests like the ACT. I also really love the financial help. It’s a little harder to pay because I live with a family of eight, so any help is appreciated. Thanks for this opportunity!

CollegeXpress helped me gain interest in many colleges/universities and many scholarships. I would say the most helpful thing CollegeXpress has done for me is sending me emails that tell me certain types of colleges are interested in me as well as emails about scholarships that I can look at and possibly apply for.

CollegeXpress has helped me find scholarships for the colleges I applied to. It was very hard for me to find scholarships in the beginning that I was qualified for. My teachers recommended this website to find some, and not only did I find some scholarships but I also got to look into some schools I hadn’t heard of before. I was very happy to have discovered this website, especially with the coronavirus spreading all over as I can’t really go visit many colleges.
